Welcome to Balrothery Tennis Club.  

These court are provided and maintainted by Fingal County Council.  Lights, access controls and clubhouse are run by the club. 

Registration & bookings can only be made by over 18s.  We do not have a junior programme but we welcome children as family members,

If you wish to play, register your details (click here for QR code or 'Book a court' / login) and we will send you login details.  You can then either -

-> book a court and pay €4 to play as a member of the public.  There is no access to floodlights and maximum court booking is 1 hour, and 1 live booking at a time. Once logged into Acebooks, you can select 'open gate' to geneate a QR code to open the gate.  This works on the day of a valid booking in your name.

-> purchase membership and join the club.

Once registered you can purchase membership at any time, currently winter memberships are available and run until 1st April 2024.  Membership gives you unlimited court bookings for not charge, access to floodlights (€3 per hour) and access to coaching / events / league / guests (cost maybe associated). 

Registration & Acebook access is for adults only, we have no junior programme and cannot supervise junior access.  Adults who bring their children are responsible for them.

ADULT - €120 

CONCESSION - €70 (Student, OAP or unemployed)

FAMILY - €190 (Two adults with children from the same household under 18, or under 23 in full time education. All over 18s within the group have full access to booking and club events/coaching. Juniors are entitled to access with parental supervision).

If you are interested, please register on our Acebooks application and select a membership package for online payment.  A valid email and mobile number is required.

This club is run by volunteers for the benefit of all who wish to play tennis.  Please see our club constitution below.

Common Questions & Answers

Can I play as a non member?

Yes, register and book a court.  You will be asked to pay online and will receive an email informing you how to access the courts with a QR code.

Can I join the club?

Yes.  Register on our booking system (Acebooks) and choose the membership you would like.  

I am 17, can I join the club?

No, you must be 18 to join.  You can join with as a member of a family.

Can I book a court and let my children play?

You are responsible for your children and they will require your smartphone to access the QR code required.

Can I join with a friend?

Yes, you can join as a family - any two adults.  We ask that the children are from the same household, upto the age of 23 in full time education.

Can my children play at the club?

If they are members, they can play with adult supervision, court bookings can only be made by an adult.  The club does not have a junior programme as we cannot provide the required child protection supervision at all times. 

Junior & teenager member coaching is run by the club during holidays and subsidised by the club and Fingal Council.  

Tennis Ireland and Fingal Council run parks tennis at the club throughout the year, registration etc. on www.parkstennis.com

Can I book the courts for tennis for a local community group?

Yes, please contact us with more details.

Can I get private coaching?

Yes, you can contact our club coach Maria Petina (level 1), Tennis Ireland registered insured.  (mariapetina@gmail.com)

If you are arranging private coaching for your child, you must provide supervision of your child.

If you are using Public access with another coach, we advise you ensure they are Tennis Ireland registered and insured.  

Can I book the courts for another activity than tennis?

No

Can I book the courts for a party?

No.

Will the club supply rackets and balls?

No

These courts are provided by Fingal Council, why can't I play for free ?

The club acts as supervisor of the courts, to ensure this competition level facility is not vandalised, used to it's maximum benefit for the local community.  Charges are kept to the minimum to cover club costs, we are a 'not for profit' organisation.

Does the club ensure me while using the courts ?

Members are insured for accidental medical expenses, non members are not insured.
